Is the Seller's Market Finally Shifting to a Buyer's Market?
Problem is if I wanna move and buy a similar $500k house new, it’s $800k. So why sell?
It's a great point. Owners today are selling only if they have to: new job, getting married or divorced, adding a pet (or just giving their pet more/less space), death or disablement of a spouse, retiring, medical issues, moving to be near kids.
This is just the cycle as always. Rents have also stopped the upward trend and holding this year.
I think the headline is backwards. We have been in a seller's market for a few years.
You're right!
